Veneers are very thin layers of porcelain that are designed to cover the outside surface of your front teeth. Veneers can be made from porcelain or resin composite materials.

Porcelain veneers resist stains better than resin veneers and better mimic the light reflecting properties of natural teeth.

Veneers are used to fix:

• Discolored/stained teeth due to tetracycline or other drugs or excessive usage of fluoride.
• Worn down teeth.
• Chipped or broken teeth.
• Misaligned, uneven or irregularly shaped teeth.
• The gap between the front teeth.

We lightly prepare the outside surface of the front teeth so that the veneers don’t look bulky. Then we take an impression of the teeth and send it lab where they fabricate the veneers. Veneers are able to turn your smile around as long as you continue with your regular habits of cleaning and maintenance as well.

On the subsequent visit, we check how the veneers fit. Upon satisfactory fit, we cement them in place. We shine a special light onto the placed veneers that hardens the cement to secure them to the teeth. We check your bite and make necessary adjustments. Veneers are very strong and with proper care can last 10 to 15 years, or even longer.
